At St. Edmond, we are proud of the quality of our music department.  We begin with music instruction in the preschool years and continue with that instruction throughout our student's school years at St. Edmond.  In school, band instruction begins in the 5th grade, though in the 4th the recorder is introductory to students.  At the beginning of their 5th grade year, students hold a conference with the band instructor and are advised as to which instrument would be recommended for their child. Instruction continues throughout their years at St. Edmond, if they so choose.  Several opportunities for special vocal and band groups are available for students.
